Patriot Coin

Patriot Coin is a speculative web and blockchain-based project that enables a participant to receive UBI via a USA-backed cryptocurrency called "USACoin" by "proving their patriotism" to an autonomous system.

When a participant connects their crypto wallet to the web page, their webcam is enabled which activates an image recogntion model trained on images of a person with their hand over their heart. If the system successfully detects a hand-over-heart position for a long enough period of time, the participant is prompted to confirm a transaction, which deposits 25 USACoin into their wallet.

You can visit the website here: usacoinredemptions.us. The smart contract was re-deployed in April 2025 on the Sepolia Ethereum test network. A small amount of Sepolia ETH is required to execute the transaction (Sepolia Faucet).
